Hard Cider Cheese Dip

  • 2 Tbsp. Butter
  • 2 Tbsp. Flour
  • 12 ounces Hard Cider (We used Woodchuck Hard Cider Amber)
  • 1 Tbsp. Mustard
  • 12 oz. Palmetto Cheese - Original, Jalapeno, or Bacon
  • 3 slices Bacon, browned and crumbled

  1. In a saucepan, melt butter and stir in flour.
  2. Cook for 2 minutes on medium heat. Stir constantly.
  3. Add hard cider and mustard and stir until combined.
  4. Cook on medium high heat for 5 minutes until mixture starts to thicken.
  5. Turn off the heat and add Palmetto Cheese. Stir until all of the cheese has melted.
  6. To serve, put into a serving dish and sprinkle with bacon.
  7. Can be served with apples, pretzels, bread, crackers or vegetables.

For the holidays, place the serving bowl in a small hollowed out pumpkin or you can pour it directly into the pumpkin if the pumpkin is small enough.
