Palmetto Cheese Cornbread


1 loaf
  • 6 oz. Palmetto Cheese (Original, Jalapeno, or Bacon)
  • 1 Cup Yellow Cornmeal
  • 1 Cup Flour
  • 1 Tbsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 Tbsp Baking Powder
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 Cup Milk
  • 1/2 Cup Mayonnaise


  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. In a mixing bowl combine dry ingredients.
  3. Add in eggs, milk and mayo and stir until all ingredients are combined.
  4. Let mixture sit for five minutes.
  5. Grease one loaf pan and pour in mixture.
  6. Spoon Palmetto Cheese on top of the mixture evenly.
  7. For the loaf, bake for 45 minutes or until the center if fully cooked.
  8. Palmetto Cheese Cornbread


Slice loaf and brush with butter or spread with Palmetto Cheese.

Variation: Grease muffin pans, fill 2/3 of the way full with the cornbread mixture and top with a spoonful of Palmetto Cheese. Bake approximately 20 minutes.
