Cheese Stuffed Breadsticks

Cheese Stuffed Breadsticks


  • 6 oz. Palmetto Cheese (Original, Jalapeno, or Bacon)
  • 1 package Pillsbury Pizza Crust dough Classic style
  • Parmesan Cheese (optional)
  • Olive Oil
  • Flour


  1. Lay pizza dough flat onto a floured surface.
  2. Lightly flour the top so it doesn’t stick to the rolling pin. Roll the dough until it is about 12” wide and 15” in length.
  3. Using a pizza cutter, cut the dough into 3” wide strips and then cut the whole thing in half down the middle.

  5. Using a pastry bag or in our case a freezer storage bag with the corner cut off, pipe out a line of Palmetto Cheese down the middle of the dough. Our breadsticks could have used a little more cheese, but it’s personal preference. Just make sure you are still able to fold the dough in half to keep it all locked inside!

  7. Time to make them “stuffed” with PC. Fold the dough portion in half and press down the seams to seal the cheese inside. Roll the dough gently until it has a traditional breadstick shape and place on a greased baking sheet.
  8. Place the seam side down, brush the breadsticks with a little olive oil and sprinkle the tops with Parmesan Cheese.
  9. Bake at 400F for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.


We served the breadsticks with melted Palmetto Cheese. Microwave for about 60 seconds.
